A-ONE ALLOY supplies In-738 alloy in form of round bar and casting.
IN-738 is a vacuum-cast, precipitation hardened, nickel-base alloy possessing excellent high temperature creep rupture strength combined with hot corrosion resistance superior to that of many high-strength superalloys of lower chromium content. It provides the gas turbine industry with a cast alloy having good creep strength up to 1700 -1800 F combined with the ability to withstand long-time exposure to the hot corrosive environments occurring in gas turbines. Booklet provides laboratory and field test data, as well as the physical properties of this alloy.
Chemical composition of IN-738 Alloy
Applications
Alloy IN-738 is mostly used in the industrial gas turbine industry for engine parts required to processing high temperature and stress combined with hot corrosion and sulfidation resistance. Applications of the alloy are mainly for gas turbine and jet engine components, such as blades, vanes and intergral-wheels.
